Anxiety Disorder

 

 

Research study of an investigational medication compared to an active medication and placebo (an inactive substance) for the treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Study Description

A randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled, active-referenced, fixed-dose study comparing the efficacy and safety of 3 doses of an investigational medication in acute treatment of adults with Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Length of study: 13 weeks

Number of office visits: 8 for most subjects

At no cost, qualified participants receive study medication and study related services. In addition there is compensation of $75 per completed visit for participation in the study.

Study inclusion/exclusion criteria

This study is only available to persons who:

  • Meet criteria for Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Can fluently read and speak English
  • Are 18 to 65 years old
  • Are without serious health problems
  • Do not have current conditions such as Schizophrenia, Major Depression, Bipolar or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Are not addicted to drugs or alcohol
  • Do not take exclusionary medications
